The Goodwill Career Center will hold
our Multi-Employer Job Fair from 10
a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March
2, 2020.This is a great chance to meet
with hiring managers of over 15 local
businesses (including Alliance Property
Services, BB&T (Trust), Chick-Fil-A,
DeVry University, KIK Custom Products,
Len Foote Hike Inn, U.S. Census
Bureau, Waffle House, Wahoo Docks, &
MORE) who will conduct interviews on
site.There is no cost to participate.The
center is inside the Goodwill store at 66
S. 400 Center Lane in Dawsonville.The
WorkSource Georgia Mountains mobile
training unit will also be onsite to offer
resume assistance and skills assess
ments.
The annual spaghetti dinner of
Etowah Masonic Lodge No. 222 will
be held on Saturday, Feb. 29, from 11
a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lodge located on
Bill Elliott Street in Dawsonville. Tickets
are available for $7 per plate. Meals
will be available for dine-in or take-out.

An AARP Safe Driving Class will be
held on Wednesday, March 18 from 9
a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dawsonville
Library in the Side Meeting Room.The

ConnectAbility's Night of Stars
Talent Show is Saturday, Feb. 29 at
the Dawson County Performing Arts

Forsyth County Master Gardener
Plant Sale & Expo will be held on
Friday, April 10, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
and Saturday, April 11, from 8 a.m. to 4

wide range of plants and other garden
products suited for this climate, such as
hard to find native plants, annuals,
shrubs, veggies & herbs, soil amend
ments, birdhouses, hand crafted artisan
wares, gourmet food items, fountains
and pottery, garden decor, and more.
Master Gardener Extension Volunteers
will be on hand to assist you with the
plant selection and provide gardening

profit organization is operated solely by

The type thermometer being used to moni
tor temperatures, bimetallic stem ther
mometer, is not accurate for monitoring
temperatures of thin foods. These type
thermometers need to be inserted into the
food a couple of inches to monitor temper
ature which is not easy when food items to
be monitored are very thin. Purchase ther
mometer that can read temperatures from
tip of shaft - digital - for better accuracy.
