St. Peter Lutheran Church invites the public to join it for the special services planned for the Wednesdays in Lent, until April 1. Underthe theme, "Growing in a Grace-Shaped Life," the services are designed to help worshipers draw on spiritual disciplines to nurture growth in living the Christian life. Services will be held at the church beginning at 7 p.m. Scripture, hymn singing, and prayer will combine with the mes sages to make for a "grace-shaping" experi ence. A fellowship meal, to which the public is also invited, will be held at 6 p.m. before the Wednesday services from until April I.The con gregation further invites the public to its Sunday services at 10:30 am, as well as its Sunday Bible Study at 9:15 a.m. when it draws on the Gospel according to St. Matthew to explore the mean ing of Jesus' Lordship and our discipleship. St. Peter Lutheran Church is located at 109 Tipton Drive in Dahlonega, which is off Mountain Drive, the road which runs between McDonald's on Highway 60 and the Northeast Georgia Medical Center at the top of the hill. Church of the Apostles (COTA) in Dawsonville will host its fourth annual art show and is seeking artist submissions to be on dis play for the Easter season. Artworks must be original work by the artist and represent one of the 12 modified stations of the cross beginning with Jesus's temptation through Jesus's rising. Images of submissions to be considered for the art show much be emailed to cotasoc@ gmail.com by March 20. COTA is suggesting a $10 donation for each entry with all monies being collected going to Meals by Grace in Dawsonville to help deliver meals to families in need.The show will be on display in the COTA sanctuary from April 6-12. A reception will be held from 4-6 p.m. on April 10 (Good Friday). Church of the Apostles is located at 32 Grant Road in Dawsonville.
