One Gainesville resi
dent faces eight felonies
and multiple misde
meanors after authori
ties caught her with
illicit substances and a
firearm she wasn’t sup
posed to have.
Teresa Joy Stiltner,
53, was recently arrest
ed by the Dawson
County Sheriff’s Office
under felony charges
including possession of
a schedule II controlled
substance; three counts
of possession of a con
trolled substance with
intent to distribute; pos
session of a firearm dur
ing commission of a
crime; possession of a
firearm by a convicted
felon; and two counts of
possession of drugs
within guard lines.
Stiltner’s misdemean
or charges include drug
related objects, drugs in
original container and
driving charges related
to no registration, driv
ing with a suspended
license, DUI and failure
to maintain lane.
A K9 deputy who was
Stiltner
a part of DCSO’s Crime
Suppression Unit
stopped Stiltner’s car
along Kelly Bridge
Road in the early eve
ning of Nov. 4. She
admitted to the deputy
that she had smoked
methamphetamine
before driving, accord
ing to a DCSO
Facebook post from
Nov. 13. Stiltner was
subsequently arrested at
about 7 p.m.
According to multiple
warrants, she had 22
Tramadol pills and an
unspecified number of
Alprazolam pills, with
neither medication in
their original container.
Officers recovered a
smoking device with
suspected meth inside
and a digital scale.
Another warrant stat
ed they found several
needles for injecting
drugs inside of
Stiltner’s purse. Two of
the needles contained
suspected liquid meth.
During the encounter,
Stiltner admitted to offi
cers that she sold nar
cotics. The warrants for
firearm possession stat
ed that Stiltner had a
Taurus G2C 9 mm. pis
tol on her when she was
apprehended.
One of those warrants
also stated that she had
previously been con
victed of meth posses
sion and burglary in the
second degree six years
ago in Forsyth County.
Stiltner also had
active warrants for her
arrest out of Forsyth
Co.
After arriving at the
Dawson County
Detention Center the
night of Nov. 3, Stiltner
was caught with 19
Alprazolam pills and
numerous individually-
wrapped bags of meth.
No bond has been set
for Stiltner.

A Dawsonville man
now faces charges for
two crimes, one of
which is a felony.
The Dawson County
Sheriff’s Office charged
Richard Rolomas
Landrum II, 52, with rape
and driving under the
influence. The alleged
incidents occurred on
separate days.
A deputy responded
to a “possibly impaired
driver” at a residence
off of Ga. 9 in
Dawsonville around
Landrum
12:30 p.m. on Nov. 3,
according to an arrest
report.
At the time of his
arrest, Landrum was
driving his car with one
passenger, a person over
98 years old.
Two days later, DCSO
issued a warrant for
Landrum’s arrest
regarding the rape
charge. That alleged
incident happened at the
same residence some
time between 11 p.m.
Halloween night and 7
a.m. the next day.
No bond has been set
for the rape charge.
DCN staff will con
tinue to report on this
story as more informa
tion becomes available.
Drive Electric Georgia hosts electric car show
Jacob Smith

Drive Electric Georgia, alongside the
North Georgia Conservation Coalition,
hosted an electric car show at the
Dawsonville Farmers Market Pavillion
on Saturday, Nov. 13 to inform local
citizens about electric cars.
According to NGCC founder Bette
Holland, around 60 people showed up
to the event and heard people discuss
the advantages of driving electric and
how they could benefit local communi
ties.
The event lasted from 11 a.m.
through 2 p.m. with cars such as Teslas
and Nissan Leafs with their hoods
open for people to see how they work.
Most drivers stood outside their car
and were willing to answer any ques
tions people might have.
“I did not know much about electric
cars, so I thought the show might be a
good idea,” Nathan Womack of
Dahlonega said. “Turned out to be
pretty informative.”
Drive Electric Georgia started in
October 2020 with a goal of doubling
the amount of electric cars in use in
the state. According to their website,
15,300 electric cars are currently regis
tered in the state with 1,379 charging
stations holding 3,420 charging ports.
The North Georgia Conservation
Coalition will begin planning for
Earth Day 2022 at the Bowen Arts
Center on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 4:30
p.m.
No other events like the electric car
show have been scheduled yet, but
could be returning in the near future.
