Jeffers
Jeffers is a teacher and
coach at Dawson County
Junior High School. He
has been employed with
Dawson County Schools
for 2.5 years, according to
Tiffany Davis, the execu
tive assistant for
Superintendent Damon
Gibbs.
One warrant for Jeffers’
arrest alleges that on Nov.
19, 2021, he committed an
act of sexual battery when
he intentionally made con
tact with the backside of a
child younger than 16 who
was also a DCJH student.
The offense was reported
to have occurred at the
junior high school.
A second warrant alleges
that between Nov. 15 and
Nov. 19, Jeffers touched
the backside of another
underage student on two
separate occasions at the
school. Dates on both of
the sexual battery warrants
have been updated to
reflect current information.
The child molestation
warrant alleges that during
the same week, he showed
a cell phone picture of his
genitals to an underage stu
dent.
“An investigation is
underway, and we are
cooperating fully with
Sheriff Johnson and his
team,” said Superintendent
Gibbs on Dec. 3. “The
staff member has been
placed on administrative
leave until the investigation
is complete. No further
comments can be made
concerning the personnel
issue at this point.”
DCN will provide
updates on this case as
more information becomes
available.
