Mountain Education school celebrates Class of 2022

On Thursday, June 2,
Mountain Education
Charter High School
(MECHS) celebrated and
honored the 13 graduates
that make up the school’s
Class of 2022.
MECHS is a non-tradi-
tional evening high school
where students have the
opportunity to build a bet
ter future through educa
tion.
Site Administrators
Shannon Gable and Kristi
Gerrells welcomed an
auditorium full of parents,
family and friends of the
graduates. Keynote speak
er Patsy Jordan, Dawson
County MECHS
Instructor and Mountain
Education Charter High
School System Teacher of
the Year, encouraged and
celebrated the Class of
2022. Jordan spoke on
how through unprecedent
ed times, these young
individuals continued
their hike and stayed on
the trail through many
obstacles. They perse
vered! This graduation
ceremony is celebrating
them as they stand on the
mountain top because
they never gave up and
they kept climbing to their
ultimate success,

a speech celebrating her
fellow classmates.
The commencement
ceremony included the
presentation of diplomas,
awards, scholarships and
recognition of these
amazing individuals who
are capable of amazing
things.

Meet Garlic! You’ll need to make sure that you got your sketchers on and
water bottle in hand for this one as he is a RUNNER. Garlic is the cutest
high energy boy around and all he wants to do is SNIFF EVERYTHING
and PEE EVERYWHERE. If you’s looking for an adventure buddy, Garlic
will be your boy. He Doesn’t appread to have much leash or harness
training and will need an owner who establishes clear boundaries both
on and offleach to help teach him how to be a well-mannered boy. But
make no mistake, this is the loviest goofball around and he is in need of
someone who can both keep him active, and give him all the attention.
Garlic has lived with other dogs and appears to have potential to go to
a mulitple dog home so long as proper meets and greets happen first.
Come meet this silly boy today.
Garlic is about three years old and weighs 55 pounds.
