The purpose of this project is to replace
GDOT Bridge 085-0024-0 on CR 224
/ Shoal Creek Road over Shoal Creek,
NW of Dawsonville. The proposed
project consists of constructing a
new bridge over Shoal Creek that will
be approximately 135 feet long and
39 feet wide. The bridge would be
constructed approximately 10-ft to the
west of the existing roadway centerline
to avoid impacts to the adjacent Burt
Creek. An offsite detour will be used
to maintenance traffic. Approximate
construction time is estimated at six
to nine months. The total length of the
project is approximately 0.2 miles.
