The practice has two other locations in Gainesville and Braselton, as well as a surgery center in Gainesville, and the Dawsonville office has been open since February. At the Dawsonville location, Dr. Chad Muxlow specializes in sports medicine, and Dr. Thomas Neustein specializes in hand and upper extremity procedures. According to Muxlow, he, Neustein and their staff are excited to be at the Dawsonville location and getting to know the community better. “We’re excited to be here full time and keep developing our relationship with the community,” Muxlow said. “If y’all ever need anything just let us know; we’re here and available, we’ve got a great team and a great staff who have been with us for a while so we have full services here and can take care of everything for you.” Muxlow added that, because the practice has three locations, he and Neustein can also refer patients to providers at their other locations if the patient is in need of another kind of specialist. “I specialize in sports medicine which is kind of a misnomer; I take care of athletes but it’s more arthroscopic surgery, so ten don repairs, ligament reconstructions and things like that,” Muxlow said. “Dr. Neustein is primarily elbow, hand, upper extremity and all the fine details with those. We also have a foot and ankle spe cialist in our Gainesville office, we have a spine specialist, and we can refer you to our other office so we pretty much have everything covered.” Before officially cutting the ribbon, Mandy Power, president and CEO of the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce, welcomed Muxlow, Neustein and their staff to the community, expressing her excitement at having orthopaedic special ists in the county. “We’re excited to get the word out and welcome you to the chamber and the com munity,” Power said. “We’re very excited to have you as part of the community; we obviously need specialties just like this.” Specialty Orthopaedics is located at 81 Prominence Court Suite 100 and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, go to https:// specialtyorthoga.com/locations/ dawsonville/ or call 770-532-7202.
