2B I DAWSON COUNTY NEWS I dawsonnews.com Wednesday, June 5,2024 Man sentenced for one charge tied to 2022 road rage incident A Dawsonville man has now been acquitted of the most serious charge associated with a 2022 road rage inci dent involving a tire iron in the local Walmart parking lot. Following a trial last week, a jury found Mark Gregory Gallichotte, 70, not guilty of aggravated assault tied to the 2022 Walmart incident, according to documents filed May 22 in Dawson County Superior Court. However, the jury did find him guilty of second-degree criminal dam age to property for damaging another person’s car windshield with a tire iron. For that charge, Gallichotte was sen tenced to four years of probation and ordered to pay restitution up to $2,000. A restitution hearing is set to be held in about a month. If Gallichotte maintains good behav ior for three years, his probation could end early at three years or when he pays the restitution amount in full, according to his sentence. For all of the accolades he collected in his Tigers career, he’s just as grateful for the relationships and memories made with friends and teammates during those years. More recently, Dominy got engaged to his girlfriend Kennedy, with whom he purchased a home in Forsyth County. He maintains rela tionships with many of his old Dawson County friends and looks forward to keeping up with DCHS athletics. FROM IB Clark After entering the transfer portal in January, Clark recently confirmed his commit ment to Toledo through his Twitter account. He was part of a con sistently deep UGA running back stable and saw action in several notable games, includ ing the team’s 2022 national title game win against TCU. He finished his Bulldogs career with 35 carries for 145 yards and one touchdown, with the lone score coming against UAB last season. Although he saw lim ited playing time, Clark was able to grow into a veteran presence on the team and will now have a chance to bring his championship pedigree to the Glass City.
