OlympusMD Wellness spa opens in Dawson County By Erica Jones ejones@dawsonnews.com OlympusMD Wellness is a recently opened well- ness spa in Dawson County and is aiming to help community members feel their best through a wide range of therapy services. OlympusMD Wellness is located at 145 Forest Blvd #430 and opened near the end of 2023. The business offers a large number of different thera py services, including weight management, anti aging, men’s and wom en’s hormone replace ment therapy, IV therapy and vitamin injection therapy. The new Dawson County wellness spa is the third location that OlympusMD Wellness has opened, with two oth ers in Athens and Milton. Thomas Ballard, who is a co-owner of the business, said that since opening the Dawson County loca tion his team has seen a lot of interest from the community. “It’s really taking off; things are going really well and we’ve got a great team of people,” Ballard said. “We’re excited to be part of Dawsonville.” What sets OlympusMD Wellness apart from other similar wellness spas, Director of Wellness and Nutrition Anna Carlisle said, is that their goal is to help their clients expe rience a full life change in more ways than just administering the IV treatments. “Probably our biggest thing right now is weight loss and hormones; I think the biggest thing that I’m really trying to get across is that it’s not just about the drug; it’s about longevity and really extending your health span,” Carlisle said. “My passion every time I walk into the door is to really change people’s lives from the ground up and really just use the medi cations that we have as an adjunct — most of it is nutrition and lifestyle changes, and I think that’s really what separates us from all these other plac es that are just giving medications and hor mones.” And their ultimate goal, Ballard said, is to help community members in Dawson and the sur rounding counties feel the best that they can for the longest amount of time that they can. “At the end of the day, ultimately what we’re try ing to do is just make a lot happier and healthier people,” Ballard said. “In the community, I just want people to see us as genuinely caring and just really trying to extend people’s health and let them live their best life for as long as they can,” Carlisle added.
