The 2nd Annual Decatur Dinner Party will be held Sept. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Decatur Cemetery
to benefit Decatur’s Kitchen Garden, where refugee families grow thousands of pounds of fresh food
each season. This limited attendance event will feature a multi-course farm-to-table meal, live music,
beer, wine and a live auction. Auction items will include VIP access to local festivals, a wine and craft
beer event package, and more. Tickets are $125 each, or reserve a full table for a party of 8 at $1,200,

The 5th annual Southern Chefs Potluck to benefit Wholesome Wave will be held Sept. 7 at 3 p.m.
on the grounds of the Inn at Serenbe in southwest Atlanta. Guests will dine family style with the chefs
and their families to raise money to provide fresh food for Georgia Nutrition Assistance Recipients and for local farmers. Just some
of the participating chefs are Drew Belline from No. 246; Shaun Dotty from Bantam + Biddy; Todd Ginsberg from The General Muir;
Asha Gomez from Spice to Table; Josh Hopkins from Empire State South, Anne Quatrano from Bacchanalia; and Jay Swift from 4th

Party in the Kitchen to benefit Open Hand, the nonprofit that delivers meals to critically and chronically ill people, will be held Sept.
18 at 7 p.m. at King Plow Arts Center. Led by some of Atlanta’s best chefs, including co-chairs Gerry Klaskala and Kevin Rathbun, the event
will showcase their signature cuisine. Cocktails, music and live and silent auctions will also be part of the evening. Some of the other chefs
representing their restaurants at the event will include Chris Hall of Local Three, Lisa and Fuyuhiko Ito of Umi, Craig Richards of St. Cecilia,
Brent Banda of La Tavola Trattoria, Ted Lahey of Table & Main, Shaun Doty of Bantam + Biddy, Jeff Varasano of Varasano’s Pizza and Gary

KR SteakBar in Peachtree Hills has begun construction on its new private dining room with completion expected to be in mid
October, 2014. The new private dining area will add 45 additional seats to the dining area and will be used as private dining during
the week and a la carte dining on the weekends.
Shifting Chefs: Chef Zeb Stevenson (formerly of Livingston, Proof and Provision) is now in charge at the newly rebranded The Brasserie
and Neighborhood Cafe at Parish in Inman Park. Executive Chef Mark Alba will oversee STK’s kitchen on Peachtree Street in Midtown.
Chick-fil-A has opened its newest restaurant next door to the College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience at
246 Marietta St. in Downtown. The restaurant has vintage inspired decor including a community table made of reclaimed timber, light
fixtures made from recycled peach baskets and wall sections made from recycled Coca-Cola bottles. Football fans will be able to keep
up with all the action on the restaurant’s four flatscreen televisions.
Team entry for the 3rd annual Brookhaven Chili Cook Off is now open at www.BroohavenChiliCookOff.com. The event will
be held Oct. 11. The neighborhood festival will feature over 60 local restaurant and amateur teams competing for bragging rights,
