Right: Students at the Ernest G. Welch School of
Art & Design at Georgia State University created
an 18-foot rooftop mural on top of the Hyatt Hotel
in Downtown visible from the recently reopened
Polaris restaurant. The mural celebrates the Polaris
Bee Garden, which provides fresh honey and veg
gies to the restaurant.

ment at the triangle created by Highland and Lake
avenues and Elizabeth Street is nearing completion.

Monumental Ball
is Sept. 26
The Swingin’ Medallions, pictured right,
will be headlining this year’s Monumental
Ball at Piedmont Park, the annual social
event and fundraiser hosted by the
Morningside-Lenox Park Association.
There will be dancing, food and fun from
7 to 11 p.m. at the park’s Magnolia Hall.
