The AJGA Atlanta Clas

2009 at The Country Club
of the South in Johns
Creek. Since then, it has
become one of the top
open events on the AJGA
tournament schedule.
Last year’s event had a
field size of 78 golfers in
stroke play competition
over 54 holes. The cham
pion of last year’s tourna-

In this year’s tourna
ment, players will be re
quired to participate in one
of the two Junior-Am
fundraising events. The
morning fundraising tour
nament will begin with an
8:30 a.m. shotgun start
and the afternoon will be a
1:30 p.m. shotgun start on
Thursday, Aug. 17 at Plan-
terra Club. Once both Jun-
ior-Ams are filled, there
will not be any other prac
tice round spots granted.

cert series: Sunset Sounds,

The free summer concert
series returns in 2023 to
Drake Field with live music,
food, and fun for residents
and visitors to enjoy.
On the evenings of July
14 and Aug. 11, music begins
at 7 p.m. with different live
music groups and artists to
bring the park to life.
On June 16, R&B Inc.
will perform, and on July 14,
the “Rock the 90s” theme
will roll through Drake Field.
Finally, on Aug. 11, Matt
Pudas will round out the
summer concert series.
