Wednesday, August 16,2023 Fayette County News V3 The Tigers are eager to earn their stripes. Last year, they took their lumps playing in a tough region with too many players looking out for them selves. That’s about to change. “Our mindset this year is the guys that are high-character kids, that are going to do what we ask them to do to the best of their abilities, that un derstand and respect the standards we’ve set for our program, those are the kids that we’re going to go with,” says head coach Nick Davis. They’re going to do it with players who are bought in. It’s not just about bodies. They weeded out players who weren’t team players, and they’re prepared to go to battle with true Tigers. “We’re very inex perienced, but we had a good offseason not dealing with distrac tions and having to push, push, push,” says Davis. “If you don’t have the high- quality guys it’s not going to matter.” OFFENSE The offense won’t look too different this year. They have ath letes, and they’ll work to get them out in space. Touchdown ma chine Javon Graham will make the move to quarterback.
