OBITUARIES A2 Fayette County News Wednesday, January 17,2024 Hazel Estelle Norred Hazel Estelle Norred, age 91, of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday, Jan.10, 2024. She was born to the late Willie P. and Nolie Bell Gaston in Atlanta, Wednes day, March 9, 1932. Hazel married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, James Norred. Family is what Hazel cherished most in this world. One of her greatest joys was her grandchild, Ella, whom she referred to as her angel. She also took delight in her grandchild Joselyn, who was added to her family through mar riage. Hazel was a strong, brave, giving, caring, and compassionate woman who loved her family deeply. She also had a great love for her Lord and spent her life reading, studying, and sharing His word. She gave much of her life and time serving in her church, teaching Sunday school to children, visiting the home- bound, and fostering chil dren early in her marriage. She possessed the gift of making those around her feel loved and cherished. She was always a faithful wife, loving mother and grandmother. Patricia Ann Tidwell Patricia Ann Tidwell, 76, of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024. She was born in Atlanta, on Nov. 23,1947, to the late Jeptha Eugene and Anne Burnley. Patricia was a dedicated member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Over the years, Patricia worked jobs at the Clayton County Courthouse, Almost Home Daycare, and Hallmark Cards, but she believed her most meaningful role was a loving wife and mother. She will be deeply missed by all who know her. Patricia was survived by her husband of 56 years, Michael Tidwell; daughter Shannon (Michael) Ed mondson; and brother, Ronnie Burnley. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat urday, Jan. 20, 2024, at the chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Pastor Glenn Stringham of ficiating. Sheila Margaret Walker Sheila Margaret Walker, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Jan. 1, 2024, in Peachtree City, at the age of 86. She was born on July 30, 1937, in Halifax, Ca nada, and her remarkable life was filled with love, dedication, and countless cherished memories. Throughout her career, Sheila served as an ex ecutive secretary for Delta, demonstrating her excep tional organizational skills and commitment to excel lence. However, her true passion in life was caring for her beloved husband and children. Sheila's self less nature knew no bounds, and she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to creating a nurturing and loving home for her family. In her leisure time, Sheila found joy in travel ing and exploring new places. Whether it was em barking on exciting adven tures or simply spending quality time with her grandchildren, she treas ured every moment shared with loved ones. Her nur turing spirit and genuine love brought immense hap piness to those around her. Sheila will be deeply missed by her adoring hus band, Johnny Walker, who shared a lifetime of love and companionship with her. She is also survived by her sons, Randy (Donna), Gary (Lisa), Wayne (Bar bara), and Alan (Tina) Walker, who will forever carry the lessons of love and devotion that their mother instilled in them. Her memory will con tinue to live on through her cherished grandchildren, Brittney, Tiffany, Lacye, Lindsay, Courtney, Cody, Collin, and Chaney; great grandchildren, Brooks, Luke, and Brett. The joy Sheila experienced in being a grandmother was im measurable, and she took great pride in nurturing and guiding each one of them. Sheila leaves behind her sister, Barbara Thomas, as well as many other family members and friends who were fortunate enough to have known her kindness and grace. A memorial service to celebrate Sheila's remark able life will be hosted by her family at a later date to be determined. This gath ering will be a time of fond remembrance and shared stories, as loved ones come together to honor the beau tiful soul that Sheila was. As we say farewell to Sheila Margaret Walker, let us remember her as an in spiration to all who knew her. Her unwavering love, dedication, and zest for life will forever be an example for us to follow. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
