You may be for nr against Gover
nor Talmadge, but, if you have heard
him speak you’ll have to admit that
tie has the courage to stand up and
fight for what he thinks is right.
\Ye like a man like that.
The newest newspaper venture is
the Wadley-Bartow Journal, edited
by E. G. Chambers. \Ye have not
seen a copy, hut understand it is
newsy and well edited. \Ye wish
this paper success.
The large crowd at Louisville
Thursday from several counties and
their enthusiasm at this meeting,
attested the popularity of Governor
Eugene Talmadge. The crowd was
not disappointed either—they canto
to hear something and we mean they
heard it.
A friend of one of the candidates
informed us that the reason they au-
n.tuneed only in county scat papers,
were, that more voters were regis
tered r.t. the county seat than in am
other point in the county. This is
no doubt true, but the smaller places
sometimes carres the deciding vote.
How can candidates expect this vote
when they igt ore tier newspaper that
is working for the best interest of
the town.
