Send to wil@bbnews.today by 1 p.m. Monday. Robert Benjamin Chambers Robert Benjamin Chambers, 69, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017. He was born Oct. 11,1948 in Lyons, Ga. He grew up in Macon and spent the majority of his adult life in Milledgeville. He was a 1966 graduate of Lanier High School in Macon. He attended Southern Tech where he studied electrical engineering. He worked at Georgia Power for 23 years, and owned an electrical company, Chambers Electric, until retiring in 2011. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sitting on the porch by the lake. He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie (LB) Chambers. He leaves his wife of 44 years, Deborah (Davis) Chambers, Lake Sinclair; his mother Jeanette (Browning) Chambers, Lake Sinclair; Daughters Kasey (Shane) Nelson, Katy, Texas; Katie (James) Painter, Milledgeville; Grandsons Gunner and Parker Nelson, Katy, Texas; and Colton Painter, Milledgeville; a sister Cheryl (Dan) Faulk, North Carolina; and a number of other family members and close family friends. Services for Mr. Chambers were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Visitation preceded the service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations either be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Jay’s Hope Foundation in Macon. Express online condolences at www.williamsfuneral. net. James Travis Paul Jr. James Travis “Jimmy” Paul Jr., 91, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Paul was born in Troy, Ala. and later moved to Georgia. He graduated from Georgia Military College High School and graduated from GMC Jr. College in 1945. Mr. Paul was a dedicated and longtime GMC alumni. He worked in sales with Alagold Corporation until his retirement. He was a member and served as a deacon at First Baptist Church in Milledgeville. Survivors include his wife, Winifred Baisden Paul, three sons: Robert Dorman Paul (Wanda), James Travis Pauli III all of Milledgeville and Frederick Baisden “Ricky” Paul of Atlanta, two grandchildren Jennifer Palmer and Jessica Roberts. The family received friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Moores Funeral Home. Congratulations to Tuft, and thank you to all of those who stopped by our booth and participated. Letha Morris Mrs. Letha Gladys Braucht Morris, 63, passed away on Oct. 18, 2017. The family had a gathering of remembrance from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville. Mrs. Morris was a native of Macon, grew up and spent many years in Warner Robins and had lived at Lake Sinclair since 2000. She was an educator having worked at the Youth Development Center in Milledgeville. She was the daughter of the late Jack Braucht and Evelyn Saye Braucht and was preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Braucht Henslee. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Warner Robins. She is survived by her son, Jack Morris of Eatonton; brother, George Braucht of Warner Robins; nieces and nephews, Laura Braucht of Decatur, Saye Braucht of Conyers, Jamey Henslee of Cedartown, Ramey Henslee of Asheville, N.C.; brother in law, Billy Henslee of Tiger; and cousin, Saye Atkinson of Madison. Express online condolences at www.williamsfuneral.net. Rafael San Inocencio Rafael San Inocencio, 85, passed away on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017. Private services will be held at a later date. Mr. San Inocencio was born in Puerto Rico and made his home in Florida before moving to Milledgeville. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Air Force. He owned and operated RSI Development and was a member of the Catholic faith. Survivors include children Dr. Rafael L. San Inocencio and his wife Dr. Marisol of Milledgeville, Rebecca Haynes, Pamela Pancake (Scott) and Warren Grewall, former wives, Isabel Forteza and Pamela San Inocencio, nine grandchildren, Rafi, Nicole, Austin, Will, Luke, Ashton, Madison, Payton and Blake. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contri butions be made to the Shriner Hospital for Children or to St. Jude Children Hospital. Moores Funeral Home and Crematory has charge of arrangements. Aubrey Hall Simpson Aubrey Hall Simpson, 88, passed away Monday, Oct. 23, 2017. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26 at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Gunn, Rev. Ed White and Henry Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. Mr. Simpson was a native and resident of Milledgeville. He was a graduate of the Georgia Military College Prep School and junior college and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1950. He was a graduate of the UGA Banking School and the Louisiana State University Banking School. Mr. Simpson was a member of the Kiwanis Club for over 59 years, having served as a past president. He also received the George F. Dixon Fellow and the Legion of Honor Award. He was a former member of the Jaycees, Woodmen of the World, and Gideon’s International. He served as district chairman of the Boy Scouts of America in 1965 and served as chairman of the Baldwin County Hospital Authority from 1973 to 1990. He was a founding member of the Hardwick Boys Breakfast Club and was a member of the Supper Club for over 30 years. Mr. Simpson worked for Exchange Bank from 1951 to 1993 and was former secretary of Exchange Bank shares, board member and retired as executive vice president. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Willie Maude Harvill Simpson and Tom Hall Simpson, his stepmother Willie Pearl Simpson, his syster Joyce Simpson. He was a member of the Hardwick Christian Church and was a founding member of Pathfinders Christian Church serving as an elder and chairman of the board. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife Mary King Simpson of Milledgeville, his son David Simpson (Faith) of Gainesville, his daughters Karen Langford (David) of McDonough, Kay McDade (Mark) of Milledgeville, five grand children, John Simpson (Ashley), Joy S. Griffin (Bryan), MaKayla McDade, Morgan McDade and Cole McDade, three great grandchildren Jacob Aubrey Griffin, Rhett Thomas Griffin, Mary Evan Simpson and a number of nieces and nephews. Source: Atlanta Journal-Constitution Graphic Packaging Holding Company signs $6 billion partnership deal The Atlanta-based company will create a $6 billion paper-based packaging company by forming a new partnership with International Paper Co.’s (NYSE: IP) North America Consumer Packaging business. Graphic Packaging will own 79-5 percent of the partnership and will be the sole operator. International Paper will own 20.5 percent of the partnership, equivalent to $1.14 billion value. The partnership will assume $660 million of International Paper debt. The transaction has been approved by the Board of Directors of both companies, and is expected to close in early 2018. Source: Atlanta Business Chronicle Sea Island mansion noted as getting highest sales price in Georgia of 2017 Atlanta-based Ansley Atlanta Real Estate, which sold three out of the five most expensive homes in Atlanta during 2016, reported Cottage 558 on the Beach at Sea Island was listed for $10 million and sold Oct. 23, for $9.1 million. The home was listed by Ansley and Comer Jennings from Ansley Atlanta and sold by Patrick Dunn of Sea Island Properties.
