All proceeds will go to Barbells for Boobs, a nonprofit organi zation whose mission is to mobilize and empower people to take action regarding breast cancer. For the event, they will be battling Grace. Grace is a short workout of 30 clean and jerks for time. All participants who would like to compete are asked to donate a minimum of $10. All other donations are accept ed as well. All fitness levels are welcome to participate, as the workout will be scaled to meet anyone's ability level. There will be prizes for best Halloween costume, including $100 cash for the first place winner. Friday Oct. 27 to Sunday, Oct. 29 Minter Weekend: "Reefy-500". Celebrate the 500th anni versary of the Reformation at First Presbyterian Church of Milledgeville. On Oct. 31,1517, Martin Luther famously nailed his 95 Theses to the church door. This weekend will entail a series of talks and meals to learn about the Refor mation from Luther to Wesley. More information will follow. Saturday, Oct. 28, all day Georgia Military College will have its last home game of the season as they face Arkansas Baptist. The theme of the game will be "Faith and Family Day." Activities will include pre-game tailgating in the Cordell Parking lot, a Kid Zone behind Davenport Field, pastoral and church recognitions at halftime, a canned goods food drive for local ministries, postgame pictures with GMC players and a postgame praise and worship outside of the Atrium. General admission ticket prices are normally $10 for games, but for this game admission is $3 for those who bring in canned goods to donate. The goal is to take the canned goods to various soup kitchens and food pantries that need to have their shelves stocked for the upcoming holi day season. Saturday, Oct. 28,7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Paint and Party! Nightmare before Christmas at Mod Podge Mama. This is a fun event to learn how to paint and get to know folks in the Milledgeville area, bring a friend. People are welcome to bring wine and beer. The University Chorus, Max Noah Singers and Cat's Meow will perform tunes with settings of poetry by American poets like James Agee, Michael Dennis Browne and Sara Teasdale. The concert will conclude with com bined choirs performing an arrangement of the American folksong, "Cindy," which was popular in the South and Appalachians as a fiddle and banjo tune.
