Storytelling is a partnership with pro fessional storyteller Jeanette Waddell and WRGC 88.3. November's theme is Stories of Thanks. Tuesday, Nov. 28,10 a.m. to 9 p.m. "Operation Christmas Child" is collecting empty shoe- boxes, small toys, hygiene items and school supplies Nov. 20 - 28 at Georgia College's GIVE Center in the Maxwell Student Union (MSU). On Nov. 28, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the MSU Lounge, volunteers are needed to fill shoeboxes with gifts and wrap them for distribution to needy fami lies. The Center cannot use: food, candy, chocolate, tooth paste, liquids, lotions, medications or vitamins, damaged or used items, war-related items like toy guns, knives or military figures, seeds or breakable items like snow globes or glass containers or aerosol cans. Tuesday, Nov. 28,7 p.m. The Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program presents two readings in the Museum Education Room at Chappell Hall. Dr. Kerry Neville, professor of nonfiction and fiction writing, will read from her second book, "Re member to Forget Me." Neville's collection of short stories is a testament to craft and style. Her highly-acclaimed work has appeared in literary journals like the Huffington Post. Sandra Worsham, a teacher at Baldwin County High School, will also read from her book, "Going to Wings." It's about Worsham's journey navigating sexuality and faith in a small Georgian town. The book title pays homage to "The Brick" restaurant, where Worsham goes on Tuesdays with close friends.
