Ladre’qous Laquan Anderson, 27, has been arrested in connec tion with the shooting and is charged with one count of aggravated assault. Anderson also is facing further charges after reportedly pulling a gun on a Golden Pantry employee that previous weekend. “We knew who our suspect was that night. It was just a matter of going through the process,” said Maj. A woman reportedly wrestled with a deputy, in the process telling the deputy to “shoot me in the head like a man.” Now, four months later, that woman has been sentenced to three years behind bars and another seven on probation. Kimberly Nicole Ivey, 34, received the sentence after pleading guilty in Superior Court earlier this week. Following the regular meeting agenda, the floor was opened up for public comment where the majority of those in the audience discussed their concerns regarding animal control. Following the comments, Tommy French, chairman of the board, addressed some of the concerns hoisted by the public. “We understand that there are problems, and we have done some things to help with animal control,” he said.
