COMMUNITY COMES OUT FOR Story and photos by Wil Petty wil@bbnews.today The annual Christmas Parade was again a success in downtown Milledgeville as hundreds turned out to enjoy the event. Performances from students at Lakeview Academy and Midway Hills Academy, Baldwin High School’s Band of the Braves and the Georgia Youth Challenge Academy were highlights of the event as families lined down Hancock Street to enjoy the event. Also making appearances for the parade were the Grinch, grand marshal Time Out Teddy, representa tives from all area law enforcement, as well as Santa and Mrs. Claus. There were over 50 entrants in this year’s parade, which is sponsored by the Milledgeville Exchange Club. The parade is led by police from all different agencies including Georgia State Patrol, Baldwin County Sheriff's Office, Milledgeville Police and more. Sinclair Christian Academy was among one of many schools represented in the Milledgeville Exchange's annual parade. Members of the Georgia Military College Raider team showcase their state championship trophy.
