Leigh Lofgren
Born in Sydney, Leigh
moved to London in the
mid 70s and, due to her
career in film and televi
sion production, lived and
worked all over the world
and became a very suc
cessful live, multi-cam-
era television director.
Some of the programs she
worked on were “Good
Morning Britain,” David
Frost, Robin Leach, Food
Network and America’s
Health Network in Orlan
do, Fla.
In 2000, with the Episco
pal Media Center, Lofgren
won the Polly Bond Award
for “Excellence in Live
Broadcast” for the annual
live Christmas Eve broad
cast from the Cathedral
of St. Philip in Atlanta on
WSB-TV. Leigh has been
directing and producing
this program for 17 years.
Leigh is an award-win
ning photographer, won
her first international
“gold” in the EIPC in
2012, and several awards
in photographic contests,
including “Life on the Wa
ter,” and has recently been
selected by a panel of pros
to have her photograph
“Whisper in the Mist” in
their store online. Two of
her images were recently
voted Top Photos in 2014.
Lofgren was the PR di
rector for the Lake Oconee
Tennis Association for sev
en years and wrote/photo
graphed the weekly LOTA
article in the Lake Oconee
News until 2009. She has
been published in sever
al publications, including
LakeLife. Her photograph
ic book, “Jaguars of the
Pantanal” is still available
for purchase, and other
books are in the process of
completion.
