B&G Newspaper Club Jackie Gutknecht/Staff Members of the Pete Nance B&G Gazette Newspaper Club brainstorm stories for this month's edition. ‘Charlie Brown’ performed in Eatonton By Ja'Quon Stembridge and Christian Smith The play will be at plat inum art center in Eaton ton, G.A. It will be Friday December,18,2015. The time will be 7:00-8:00 PM. It will be a comedy. You can bring your family out you will have fun. This play will get you in the Christ mas spirit. The southern spice staff will be organizing the Christmas play. Charlie brown will be having a hard time with Christmas and his friends will decorate the Christmas tree for Charlie brown and he becomes happy. The actor playing Char lie brown want to be in the play because he want the audience to be in Christ mas spirit and he want the audience to fill happy.The play is free.The acter that is playing Charlie brown want you to come out and see one of the most funniest play ever.And the actor that is playing Charlie brown want to wish you a merry Christ mas. Christmas Cookie Recipes Pignoli Cookie Gingerbread Cookie Ingredients For this cookie you would need one 15-ounce can glu ten-free almond paste, finely crumbled, 1 cup confec tioners' sugar, 2 tablespoons honey, Pinch ground cinna mon, Pinch fine salt, 2 large egg whites, 1 lemon, zested, Special Equipment: disposable pastry bag. Directions Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line sheet trays with parchment paper or silicone bak ing mats. In the bowl of a stand mixer equipped with the paddle attachment, beat the almond paste on high speed until it is really broken up. Add the confectioners' sugar and mix on slow speed until well combined. Add the honey, cinnamon, salt, egg whites and lemon zest and beat on medium speed until the mixture is well combined and very thick, about 5 minutes. Fill a disposable pastry bag with the dough. Push the dough towards the tip and cut the tip off the bag. Pipe 1-inch balls onto the prepared sheet trays. Top with the pine nuts, pressing them into the dough to secure. Bake until the cookies are golden, 12 to 14 minutes. Pine nutty! Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, blend all ingredients together and chill for up to 1 hour. Roll dough out on floured board about 1/8-inch thick. Cut desired shapes with cookie cutters and place onto sheet pan. Bake for 8 minutes in preheated oven. For Royal Icing: With a hand mixer, beat the egg whites with the lemon juice or extract until frothy. Add the sifted powdered sugar and beat on low speed until combined, smooth, and shiny. Turn to high and beat approximately 5 min utes till stiff and glossy. Add food coloring, if desired, and transfer to a pasty bag to pipe onto cookies.
