One in 10 American babies
On Thursday, Dec. 10 the Morgan County Future Farmers of America organization hosted
its first annual Character Ball. The event aimed to raise money to go towards different
FFA programs throughout the year. Children were able to have their photos taken
with various popular characters, many of the children came dressed as princesses and
superheroes themselves. This year's event was organized by FFA Alumni members Betty
Webb and Becky Butler. Above, Princesses from across the county came to the Morgan
County High School cafeteria to have their photos taken with Disney Princesses. FFA
students dressed as Belle, Tiana and Cinderella pose with the enthusiastic group.

CenteringPregnancy®,
developed by Centering
Healthcare Institute, has
been demonstrated to reduce
the incidence of preterm
birth and low birth weight.
This prenatal care model
integrates the three major
components of care: health
assessment, education and
support, into a unified pro
gram within a group setting.
Eight to 12 pregnant women
with similar due dates meet
together, learning care skills,
participating in a facilitated
discussion, and developing a
support network with other
group members. Each Cen
teringPregnancy® group
meets for a total of 10 ses
sions throughout pregnancy
and early postpartum. The
practitioner, within the
group space, completes stan
dard physical health assess
ments at each session.
