Man charged with beating girlfriend
With several warrants in Ogletho
rpe County and battery claims from
his girlfriend, a Greensboro man was
arrested on numerous charges.
Jimmy Morrison Epps Jr., 3351
Cunningham Road, was arrested Dec.
16 and charged with false imprison
ment, battery and a warrant arrest.
Epps’ girlfriend called 911 after
reportedly being awakened by him
punching her in the face while she was
still asleep, according to the report. He
reportedly thought she had snitched
on him.
Epps was arrested at his home after
his girlfriend granted permission for
Greene County Sheriffs deputies to
use forced entry.
Epps was then arrested on previous
warrants.
During an interview with
GCSO Captain Donnie
Harrison, Epps’ girlfriend ex
plained her side of the story.
“The first thing Capt.
Harrison noticed was that
(Epps’ girlfriend) had a black
ened left eye that was swollen
shut, the entire left side of her
face was swollen, both of her lips were
swollen and split open and she had
dried blood on the left side of her face,”
according to the incident report.
“(She) was disheveled and was
wearing what appeared to be her
pajamas.”
Harrison also reportedly noticed
Epps’ girlfriend walked with a notice-
Epps
able limp.
“(His girlfriend) stated
that she did not have a phone
and that she could not call
for help,” according to the
report.
Once Epps fell asleep, his
girlfriend “made a break for
it” and walked to her grand
mother’s home and called for
help. She reportedly said he would not
allow her to leave the home even after
she begged to go.
Harrison served Epps with the
additional warrants at the Greene
County Jail, where he was being held
on his previous warrants.

Thanksgiving harangue lands offender in jail
Near 3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day,
Madison Police Officer Adam Hart
called at an Overlook Drive address to
respond to a fight call. As he exited his
vehicle, the householder approached
Hart and told him she had been away
from home and, upon returning, found
Kourtney Alexa Bishop, 21, of Farm
ington Road, Madison, inside her
residence arguing with her daughter.
Advised to leave, Bishop did but then
immediately barged back into the
house, the householder reported. At
that point, Bishop began to argue with
her, the householder said.
Having heard one side of the story,
Hart asked Bishop to present her
version, but still yelling and cursing at
the householder from the street, Bishop
would not stand down to tell her side.
Hart advised Bishop it is against the
law to create a scene shouting expletives
in public, especially within earshot of
children. Hart noticed small children
outdoors two houses down and adults
coming outside to learn what all the
yelling was about.
Hart had Bishop provide her driver’s
license, and while he ran her infor
mation through the law enforcement
dispatcher, Hart advised Bishop to
leave off with the cursing and go sit in
her car. When she walked toward her
vehicle but turned back and started a
fresh harangue directed at the house
holder, Hart arrested Bishop for disor
derly conduct.
Before Hart left to take Bishop to
jail, the householder got in touch with
Bishop’s father by telephone, and the
officer talked with the dad. Hart first
apologized for interrupting the man’s
Thanksgiving. He told the dad where
he could bail his daughter out of jail
and what the bond amount would be.
Bishop’s father said he was out of town
but would contact someone to bond
his daughter out. Hart recorded the
holiday fuss in an official report, filed
with Madison Police.

Greensboro man arrested
for rape of 15-year-old
Greensboro police have
arrested a local man who
they say raped a 15-year-old
girl in November. Anthony
Antonio Nobel, 33, 1770
Allen Circle, Greensboro
was charged Monday, Dec.
14 with felony statutory
rape, according to Chief
Ossie Mapp.
The alleged rape was
first reported to police on
Monday, Dec. 7, by Greene
County High School Coun
selor Torri Merritt. Merritt
said a student reported that
the incident occurred two
weeks earlier on Friday,
Nov. 20, 2015.
When contacted by
phone on Tuesday, a man
identifying himself as
Nobel denied the accu
sation, telling the Lake

Destiny Velez, formerly
known as Miss Puerto Rico.
However, just like
Harvey, she took to Twitter-
ville and shot herself in the
ruby slipper. Velez smoked
fat-boy filmmaker Michael
Moore in particular and
Muslims in general with
some anti-Islamic tweets.
Velez tweeted out some
unflattering references to
mosques and gas stations.
Unfortunately, she had her
crown snatched away faster
than Grasshopper took the
pebble out of the Master’s
hand on “Kung Fu.”
I must admit to saying
some things I’m not proud
of saying about Muslims.
Hopefully I can make
that up by telling a quick,
feel-good Muslim story I
also read on the Internet.
Oconee News the charge is
“not true.”
He would not make any
further comments until he
could discuss the situation
with a lawyer.
The Greensboro Police
incident report indicates
Nobel was arrested at the
city police station. It’s not
clear whether or not he
turned himself in after
hearing about the out
standing warrant.
A press release from GPD
said “...during the course of
the investigation it was de
termined that Noble did in
fact engage in sexual inter
course with the 15-year-old
minor.... Chief Mapp would
like to thank all officers
involved for a job well done.”

According to MSN News,
a group of Muslim passen
gers defended Christian
passengers during an ex
tremist attack on a bus in
Kenya this week.
Members of the al-Shabab
militant organization shot
at a bus in Mandera, Kenya,
forcing it to stop. Once the
militants boarded the bus,
they attempted to separate
Muslim and Christian pas
sengers, intending to kill
the Christians on board,
the BBC reported.
‘We even gave some
non-Muslims our religious
attire to wear in the bus
so that they would not be
identified easily. We stuck
together tightly,” Abdi
Mohamud Abdi, a Muslim
passenger, told Reuters.
In the future, let’s try to
forgive old feuds and move
forward. In the spirit of the
season, I hope I don’t offend
anybody by wishing every
body Merry Christmas.
