Once a smoker of 30 years, Maurer said that, “If it worked for me it can work for others.” After putting down cigarettes and switching to vaping eight years ago, Carolyn began getting involved in online vaping forums, quickly realizing that she could build and modify vaporizers on her own. As the traffic on the website grew, Stormy’s Managing Partner Dee Maurer expressed the company’s need for a storefront. The team spent months searching for a building before establishing the first location in 2013. Since opening the first Stormy’s Vapor Cellar, the company has grown to encompass four locations which span from Macon, to Warner Robbins and in to Milledgeville. Carolyn proudly added that the company will add a fifth location in a few weeks. “I never in my wildest dreams could have imagined it growing into this,” said Maurer. Since the beginning, Stormy’s Vapor Cellar has prided itself on offering quality vaping products to customers across Middle Georgia. The vaping process allows for the inhaling and exhaling of e-liquid vapor produced by an electrical vaporizer or e-cigarette. Vaping uses a tobacco-free, and in some cases nicotine- free. Vaporizers are an electric device that is often refillable and rechargeable. Stormy’s offers a wide variety of vaping products, including tanks, cartomizers, eliquids and accessories. According to Maurer, the store’s stock is constantly rotating, and they are often taking in new inventory. “The biggest thing that sets us apart is our prices. We have the lowest prices,” Maurer said. The staff at Stormy’s is committed to being a part of a customer’s vaping journey and is dedicated to offering the best products available. Customer service is at the heart of what Stormy’s staff aims to do- when a customer walks through the doors of any of the four locations they are greeted by a presentable and knowledgeable employee ready to assist them in all their vaping needs. Stormy’s staff member’s main goal is to help enhance the customer’s vaping experience by assisting in making the experience as successful as possible. “We’re here to help, that is the number one reason for us being here,” Maurer said. Stormy’s Lake Country shop is located at 2601 N. Columbia Street in Milledgeville. All four Stormy’s Vapor Cellar locations are open Monday- Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 5:00 p.m. The company’s website is also available for online purchases. “We encourage people to come to our stores, hang out and learn from others or our staff,” Maurer said.
