Infinite Warrior studio opens in Madison Contributed Yoga practitioners get time on the mat. T. Michael Stone michael@lakeoconeenews.us The Infinite Warrior Yoga Studio held a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 1 at its new location on Eatonton Road. The new studio is the only one in Lake Country that features infrared heating which is a superior method, according to studio owner Shawn Stephens. “It warms you without making you overheated,” Stephens said. “And they are better for you. They help you detox quickly.” Stephens said athletes love the infrared heat because it helps loosen up tight muscles. “I taught a baseball player at the high school who couldn’t touch his toes,” Stephens said. “By the end of our training he could touch the floor.” The infrared rays report edly penetrate into the body and under the skin to helps reduce pain and inflamma tion, improve circulation and relax muscles. ‘You just feel better over all,” Stephens said. According to Stephens, studies have shown that the artificial fever produced by the infrared promotes a healthy immune system an increased metabolism. The practice of yoga is no fad exercise program either. Yoga has been practiced in one form or another for more than 3,000 years. Yoga practitioners will tell you the process builds muscle, lowers blood pres sure and blood sugar levels. It also said to help improve mental health by allowing its practitioners to focus, develop inner strength and sleep better. ‘You come in here and get your workout and you start building muscle and then you start noticing how much better you feel emotionally and it almost becomes addictive,” Ste phens said. “I could go on and on for days. There are just so many great benefits.” Infinite Warrior has teamed up with Journey Juice for refreshments at the studio. Journey Juice produces a line of all natural fruit juices with such flavors as Beet Zinger, Carrot Kicker, Lemon Diablo, Pineapple Greens and Nutty Joe. Infinite Warrior studio has 1,000 square feet of space and offers classes in power, vinyasa, begginers and gentle yoga. The stu dio also has the area’s only Bikram Class taught by a certified Bikram instruc tor. For more information contact Shawn Stephens at 706-474-2246 or email shawn @infinitewarrio- ryoga.com. Previously, Kalpak has been named salesperson of the year two years in a row, following a win as part of the top sales team of the tear for Reynolds Plantation properties in 2014. Originally from Lilburn, Kalpak first learned of Reynolds and Lake Oconee in 1989 while visiting friends for a watersports weekend. He later became a tennis pro at Reynolds and began his real estate career with the community in 1992. Ini tially drawn to Reynolds for the lake, golf and tennis that it offered, Kalpak says the friendships here have con firmed his decision to stay. “I am very encouraged by the current real estate market as well as knowing that MetLife continues to invest in Reynolds,” says Kalpak when asked about the future. “Every time I am involved in a purchase or sale, there is a direct benefit to the community, and no other company can make that claim.” Kalpak When not selling the Reynolds community, Kalpak is busy with his family, and supporting LOA and the Lakepoint Commu nity Church Youth Group. He is also the proud founder of the LOA Tennis Club as well as a recent “Phoenix Award” recipient from the Lake Country Board of Realtors, having 10 years of a million dollar sales pro duction. “Ron is a great member of our family here at Reynolds,” says Lee Arberg, Senior Vice President of Sales for Reyn olds Plantation Properties. “He knows the community in and out and understands that every action here is truly a team effort.” Finding Senior Housing can be complex, but it doesn’t have to be. aPlace/orMom, (800) 929-3014
