GREENE COUNTY The Arts Barn joins Chamber of Commerce Contributed On Aug. 31, The Greene County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting to celebrate The Arts Barn joining the chamber. The Arts Barn Is owned and operated by Lora Garcia-Carreras and her family, including husband, Gene, and their four children: Joseph, Helen, Elisa and Lily. For the past 24 years, their programs have been held in Conyers, but two years ago they moved their studio to the Lake Oconee community. The family and additional instructors are thrilled to be in their new studio near Dock 103.9 behind Publix. GREENE COUNTY Christmas Bazaar Contributed Christ Our King and Savior Church in Greensboro (across from Publix) is accepting applications for the 2017 Reason for the Season Christmas bazaar and bake sale. The bazaar will be held in the Church Social Hall on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The deadline for receipt of the applications is Sunday, Oct. 1.
