MMCC invites you to Farm Day on Oct. 22 from 1 to 5 p.m. This free event will transform the center’s front lawn into an inter active agricultural land scape as it hosts barnyard animals, including cows, sheep, goats, turkeys, pigs and more. There will also be a petting zoo, sheep shear ing, milking and other agri cultural demonstrations. There will be tractors galore as well as tractor demon strations to entertain and educate. GREENE COUNTY Mills named salesperson of the month for Reynolds Reynolds Plantation Properties is pleased to announce Jere Mills as Salesperson of the Month for August with six transac tions totaling $5.9 million. With more than 40 years of experience, Mills is no stranger to the real estate industry. He and his wife Bebe are both native Atlan tans, and after Mills fin ished his three years of ser vice in the US Army in 1967, he began his career as a partner in a property man agement company, then moving on to be a partner and owner of a construction and development company, working to develop single family home communities and apartments. With the help of Lewis Grizzard, an old friend, writer and southern humorist, Mills discovered Reynolds Lake Oconee after many years of serving Atlanta’s real estate market. After some time of visiting for various card games and golf tournaments, Mills and wife Bebe decided to make the move and become full-time residents of Reyn olds in 1995. “Bebe and I fell in love with everything Reynolds has to offer,” says Mills, Contributed Putnam County High School - Craig Barron, Jada Burke, Taronica Burke and Roderick Burke. A mem ber of the junior board of directors, she serves as class president, editor in chief of the yearbook and homecoming representa tive. She was a camp assistant at the Summer Inspiration camp. Burke is a varsity cheerleader and enjoys musical theatre, tennis, photography, graphic design and editing. She has participated in Relay for Life, food and toy drives, foster care Christmas par ties, musical theatre chil dren’s shows, the Mistletoe Ball and Rivers Alive. She plans to attend Ken- nesaw State University or Mercer University in the fall and major in early childhood education. She chose Craig Barron as her teacher- of-the-month.
