We'll have camping inspired hors d'oeuvres, wine and hot drinks. For more information call 706-342- 9360. Monday, Nov. 4 The town of Bostwick will host its annual Cotton Gin Festival. The event kicks off with a 5K Gin Run. The parade will take place at 11 a.m. Wander through rows of arts and crafts vendors, enjoy festival food fare and tour the cotton gin. Parking is $5. Thursday, Nov. 9 The Madison-Morgan Boys and Girls Club host its sixth an nual Dancing with the Madison Stars. Come out and watch locals perform before a comical cast of judges to win their votes and yours. The event is one of the major fundraising events for the Madison-Morgan Boys and Girls club. The show will take place in the hall at the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center at 7 p.m. Tickets are $65. For more infor mation visit www.mmbgc.org. Saturday, Nov 18 Come and learn how to make Hypertufa planters from the expert, Jim Rowland, at the MAGallery on Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. until noon. Rowland will demonstrate the process first, then guide the students casting their own planters. Hypertufa is a lighter-weight concrete cement, peat moss and perlite mixture. You'll love the rustic, aged planters that you'll make in this workshop. Wear clothes you don't mind getting messy in. This class is suitable for adults and children 12 or older. Saturday, Dec 9 The Madison Morgan Cultural Center Hall on Foster Street is hosting the annual Gingerbread Workshop presented by the Madison Artists Guild on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.. Returning again this year is the contest for 11 — 14 year olds for the best Gingerbread House. The winner takes home $50. Saturday, Dec. 9 The 36th annual Madison Christmas Rush Classic sponsored by the Rotary Club of Morgan County will be held Saturday, Dec. 9., including a 5K, 8K and one-mile fun run. Last ticket drawn wins $10,000. Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased at the game. Tuesday, Oct. 31 Downtown merchants, many in costumes, will be out to offer trick-or-treating to children 12 and under. Children must be escorted by an adult and should begin their visit at the Greene County Courthouse where they will receive an official trick-or-treating bag and a snack.
