Holly Daze coming to OCAF this weekend CONTRIBUTED PHOTOS OCAF's fourth annual "Holly Daze" offers a one-stop shopping experience for handcrafted, high-style, unique seasonal decor with stunning wreaths, creative table settings, ornaments, "OCAF Hooters" and more by local artisans and friends of OCAF. "Holly Daze" will be open for only two weekends: Friday, Oct. 27, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. The shop will then be open on Saturday/Sunday, Oct. 28 and 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the following weekend Friday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday, Nov. 4 and 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shop will be located in the Rocket Hall building at 34 School Street, Watkinsville. GREENE COUNTY GCSS receives donation from Publix Publix Store manager Bruce Humphries along with a team of Publix employees delivered a truckload of school sup plies to the Greene County Board of Education office on Wednesday morning. The supplies were pur chased by Publix shoppers for the school system. Included in the boxes of donated items were pens, pencils, crayons, notebook paper, glue, scissors and other school supplies. The supplies were divided between all of the schools in Greene County for students and staff to benefit from. “We are veryfortunateto be apart of such agenerous community. She plans to attend the University of Georgia and study to become a medical researcher. She chose Mary Helen Brewer as her teacher of the month. Destiny Kieu attends Putnam County High School. She is the daughter of Kim Ma. She was the superinten dent student of the month for February 2016 and was the Lt. Governor’s Student Spotlight of the Month in August 2017. She has received the Georgia Certificate of Merit Scholars award. She is currently the senior class vice president, HOSA president, Skills USA pres ident and Anchor Club secretary. She serves as a member on the Farmers & Merchants Junior Board of Directors. She has played on thevarsityvolleyballteamfor three years and will play on the varsity girls’ soccer team for four years. She is the captain for both teams. She loves the outdoors too, including hiking, pho tography and traveling. She volunteers with the Adoptive andFosterParentAssociation for Putnam Counties and has distributed school supplies to foster children. After gradu ation, she plans to attend the University ofGeorgiato major in biology. After that, she would like to attend medical school to become a doctor.
