Coldwell Banker employees promote this year's Lake Country food drive.

Coldwell Banker holds food drive
Over the past several
years, Coldwell Banker Lake
Oconee Realty/Lake Country
has collected over eight tons
of food.
This year they would like
to set a record. Monetary
donations will be accepted
as well as non-perishable
food items such as rice, pasta,
canned vegetables andfruits.
Monetary donations are used
to purchase food at a greatly
reduced cost. Food donations
will be divided between
Putnam, Greene andMorgan
Counties.
Greene County currently
assists more than 350 qual
ifying families once amonth.
In addition, thesefamilies are
provided a turkey and all the
trimmings at Thanksgiving
and a ham and all the trim-
food, drop boxes are located
at each of the Coldwell
mings at Christmas.Putnam
County assists more than
300 families that receive an
estimated 40 to 50 pounds
of food each month. Morgan
County assists approximately
200 families with a box of
food each week.
If you would like to donate

Monetary contributions may
also be dropped off at these
locations and directed to the
county ofyour choice: Greene
County Food Pantry, The
Caring Place (Morgan) or
Putnam County Life Source.

It seems too early to be
celebrating Christmas, but
the 2017 Greene County
Christmas Stocking Fund
(GCCSF) campaign has
begun and needs your
support.
Eachyearthe GCCSF pro
vides food, clothing and toys
to approximately 300 chil
dren and200 seniorcitizens.
Here are some key points
about the organization:
• Not-For-Profit, 501(c)(3)
organization
• Funded 100 percent
by private donations
with no Greene County
Government funding
All volunteer operation,
no salaried employees;
to volunteer, please call

to support these families
Serve families with chil
dren 13 years old and
younger, and seniors 62
and over
All applications are veri
fied and poverty guidelines
are applied
• Total expenditures aver
age between $20,000
to $25,000 each year,
depending on the number

food vouchers, clothing
and toys (in addition to
donated toys)

the engagement of their daughter, Emily Louise Faz, to
Curtis Russell Crumbley ofWatkinsville, Ga, son ofMr. and
Mrs. Charles Haywood Crumbley, Jr. of Watkinsville, Ga.
Miss Faz is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
WilliamAveryBryantSr. ofLexington, Ga. and the late Mr.
and Mrs. George Faz of San Antonio, TX. Mr. Crumbley
is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Haywood
Crumbley Sr. of Greensboro, Ga. and the late Mrs. and
Mrs. Richard Brice Curtis of Watkinsville, Ga.
Miss Faz graduated from Oglethorpe County High
School in 2011 and from Georgia Southern University in
the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences in 2016.
Mr. Crumbley graduated from Nathanael Greene
Academy in 2009 and the University of Georgia in the
College of Agriculture in 2015.
Miss Faz and Mr. Crumbley plan a 2018 wedding.
