However, the Greensboro Police are not releasing the name of the shooter at this point in the investigation. On Monday, Cpt. Rodricus Monford reported that a shooting took place in front of MLK Market located at 1340 MLK Jr. Drive. A1 Treyvon Alexander, 18, suffered two gunshot wounds and was transported to Piedmont Regional Hospital in Athens for treatment. Piedmont Regional Hospital is not releasing any information or even confirming the existence of Alexander as a patient. Alexander was struck in both the chest and face during the incident. However, the city council may revisit the situation if the dog experts are abletocobbletogetherataskforce of animal rescue groups, animal control officers and veterinarians to address the situation. Contributed Traffic on I-20 was backed up for miles after a fatal crash near the Parks Mill Road overpass last week. Man killed in 1-20 crash T. Michael Stone michael@lakeoconeenews.us A Texas man died in a trac tor-trailer crash on 1-20 on the afternoon of Nov. 15. Scott Edward Bartley, 40, of Granbury, Texas, was killed when his truck collided with another truck near the Parks Mill Road overpass on the interstate. According to a report obtained from the Georgia State Patrol, an F-550 truck driven by Marvin Escobar-Matias, 38, of Hogansville, was traveling west when it crossed the median for unknown reasons and entered theeastboundlanesoftraffic. The F-550 struck the front of Bartley’s tractor-trailer, causing the cab to catch fire and also the trailer connected to the F-550. SEE CRASH » All MORGAN COUNTY Dead body found at Days Inn T. Michael Stone michael@lakeoconeenews.us The body of an Athens man who may have committed suicide was discovered at the Days Inn on Eatonton Road last Tuesday afternoon. Madison Police officers were dispatched to the hotel after the manager reported that a guest refused to leave his room at check out time. According to the report filed by Officer Stacy Eaton, the man was staying in room 133. The hotel manager gave Eaton the key, but the door was latched, and he could only open the door a few inches. Eaton reported that he saw the body of 49-year-old Wade Bowden lying face down on the bed still covered in a blanket.
