Niles released the information this week in an email to the Lake Oconee News. Greene County deputy sher iff Conrad Easley remains on administrative leave while the GBI examines evidence from an Aug. 29 traffic stop-related incident in Woodville where Charles David Robinson allegedly fled the scene on foot, got in an altercation with Easley, was tased and ultimately killed by a shot from the deputy’s service weapon. Robinson, who was convicted of obstructing a law officer in greene County in 2012, was pronounced dead on arrival at Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro after the Aug. 25 incident. Joe Wooten, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation special agent in charge of the case, recently said an SEE DEPUTY » A12 GREENE COUNTY PUTNAM COUNTY Apparent suicide at Ingles Police tape marks the area where a white male was pronounced dead on the scene Tuesday afternoon in the Ingles parking lot in Greensboro. According to the Greensboro Police Department, officers arrived at Ingles about 2:40 p.m. Police would not comment on the cause of death. The deceased, whose next of kin have been notified, was identified as Wilbert Harold Moore, 69, of Union Point. Moore was discovered in a white Corvette in the parking lot. The incident is also under investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Ingles store manager Loree Looney said it was company policy not to comment on police matters. The incident was investigated at the scene for about two hours before evidence was turned over to the GBI. A prominent Atlanta attorney, Donald F. Samuel, recently joined Mclver’s defense team. Michael Stone michael@lakeoconeenews.us A Lithonia man was arrested for possession of marijuana last week after beingstoppedfor having expired registration. Morgan County Sheriffs Deputy Christopher Lash stopped a gray Nissan Maxima traveling eastbound near milepost 114. According to the incident report, Lash noticed the odor of marijuana as soon as he made contact with the driver, Malik Jordan, 20. Jordan was asked to get out of the car, and Lash told him the car would be searched. Malik Jordan When Lash asked Jordan where the marijuana might be found, found he declined to answer. Jordan was handcuffed and searched while Lash conducted his exploration. Lash found a cigar pack age in the console containing four cigars withagreenleafy substance inside, according to the report. A suspected roach was under the seat, and a plastic marijuana bag containing a large quantity of a green leafy substance was found in the rear seat center console in ahidden compartment. Lash also found a digital scale in the console. Jordan was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute andpossession of drugrelated objects.
