New Year’s resolutions flow from this evaluative process. Oneofthe key elements of eachperson’s life is one’s “significant other” relationship. Recently I came across an interesting book on romantic relationships entitled: “If Love is a Game, These are the Rules” by Cherie Carter- Scott. In addition to the “rules,” there is a relationship “check-up” section in the book which follows. I encourage you and your partner to participate. (You may want to give a grade from 0-100 to each one) l.Overallfeelings aboutthe relationship: Are you getting your needs met? Are you speaking up and asking for what you want? Are you feeling heard? Are you feeling encouraged and supported to grow? 2. The decision-making Dr. John Stathas Columnist process: Are decisions made to your satisfaction?
