The guests are Miss Georgia Rice, Commerce; Misses Evelyn and Mar ion Sherman, Blakely; Mr. Marvin Cox, Waynesboro; Mr. Dillard Har- ber, Commerce; Mr. William Warn ing, Chicago, 111. On Sunday, the houseparty will be the guest of Misses Evelyn and Mar ion Sherman, at Blakely. Miss Naomi Henson spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Henson, in Cartersville. Miss Elizabeth Hall, Miss Eugenia Arnold, Mr. Ned Hagerty, and Mr. Frank Lester made up a congenial party going over to Atlanta for the Chi Psi dance at the Biltmore. Miss Laura Dorr Entertains Club Miss Laura Dorr entertained the X club at a delightful bridge party at the Phi Mu house on March 17. After the bridge game delicious sandwiches and Russian tea were served. The guests included the members of the club and 'their dates: Misses Kathryn Williams, Marie Upson, Eu genia Arnold, Margaret BickerstafT, Ada Forshey, Dorothy Miller, Jose phine Brooks, and Messrs. Albert Mobley, Tom Nash, Jack Chaille, Bil ly Berry, Joe Franklin, Billy Howell, Frank Dudley and Wiley Clarke. Miss Ada Forshey attended a house party last week-end in Lakemont at Pines of Rabun, the summer home of Mr. Lindsey Hopkins. Miss Billy Macken and Miss Evelyn Sherman spent Friday in Atlanta. Chi Psi Luncheon Is Held Saturday The Chi P8l’s were hosts to a num ber of girls from Washington Sem inary and girls of the college set at their lodge on Hill street Saturday, March 17. A special luncheon was served for the guests. After lunch, dancing and bridge was engaged In by all. Later in the afternoon the guests were taken to the Palace and then brought back to the lodge for dinner. Following dinner dancing was re sumed and at eleven o’clock a buffet supper was served. The guests were Misses Marian Calhoun, Katherine Jenkins, Lucille Jordan, and Constance Adams, of At lanta; Ella Glenn, Eugenia Arnold, Elizabeth Hall, Florra Betts, Julia Bradwell, Winifred Orr, Sarah Han cock, Marjorie Denmark, and Ada Forshey, of Athens. The chaperones for the occasion were Mrs. Phinizy Calhoun and Mrs. Katherine Jenkins, of Atlanta, and Mrs. C. J. Jester, of Athens. Misses Martha Gabbett and Anne Fawcett spent the week-end in At lanta with Mr. and Mrs. Gabbett. Miss Laurie Hill will spend the week-end in Augusta as the guest of Miss Martha Davenport. Dinner Is Given By College Set A novel affair of the past week end was a progressive dinner party given by several members of the col lege set. The dinner started with a cock tail served at the apartment of Miss Sadie Myers at the Holman hotel. Miss Martha Earnest served the soup course at her home on Hill street. The main dinner was given by Mr. Ennis Parker, after which the party went to Miss Emily Bailey’s home for the salad course. The dinner was brought to an end with a delicious dessert at the home of Miss Sarah Lowe Wler. KAPPA SIGMAS TO BE HONORED AT BARBECUE SATURDAY BY BOSWELL — Mr. Jim Boswell will give a barbe- | cue at Siloam on Saturday afternoon j honoring the Kappa Sigma fraternity and their friends. The party plans to leave Athens by truck Saturday at noon. Dr. E. M. Coulter and Mr. E. A. Lowe are out of town this week end, being with the Glee club on Its trip. MRS. GARWOOD GIVES DINNER TO SOPHOMORE HOUSE FOR HIGH MARKS Mrs. C. R. Garwood, house mother at the Sophomore house, entertained the girls of that dormitory with a dinner at Costa’s recently.
