BAND: mewithoutYou not Christian rock ► From Pag* 1 or song quality." Not a Christian? Don’t let mewithoutYou’s lyrics scare you. The musical talent is enough to impress any lis tener, despite theological beliefs. In fact, their lyrics often touch on life lessons, valu able to anyone, religious or not. The band’s public rela tions representative, Kate Cafaro, said she believes "their distinctive post-hard core sound, swirled with thickly layered drums, horns, organs and accordions, drives front man Aaron Weiss’s stream-of-conscious ness lyrics and hypnotizing half-sung, half-shouted vocals.” Co-headlining band Sparta also has anew album, THREES, which Rolling Stone praised as "a dark, brawny record with intricate layers." This alternative indie-rock band woos any fan of the twisted 'Bos with early U2-like vocals, and punkish beats Intertwined with a unique sound. Opening band Aloha’s somewhat eerie vocals only add to the greatness of the experimental nature of the set as a whole. This threesome is no coin cidence. Seemingly hand selected for each other, mewithoutYou, Sparta and Aloha bring a set not lacking in diversity. These three individual sounds will bring one amaz ing show. There is nothing better to do on a Monday, and this show will prove to be worth any rocker’s time. DUI: Student relates past violations on Facebook ► From Page 1 afternoon were unsuccessful.
