The Southern Cross, Page 10 Tour of Historic Houses of Worship The first Tour of Historic Houses of Worship in Savannah will take place on December 30. Travel through the Historic and Victorian Districts to visit thirteen churches and one synagogue from Bay Street to 38th Street, between Montgomery and Abercom Streets. Each will open its doors between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (Exceptions: The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist will be open between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. and Congregation Mickve Israel between 12:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.). Where you begin or end the trip is your decision. While these tours are free to the public, each will graciously accept donations to be given to a charity.
