BOGOTA, Colombia (NC) - A
group of 30 priests, Religious and
lay leaders of Bogota published a
letter here criticizing the
development efforts of the
governments of Latin America.
The group said the letter is its
comment on the Basic Document
serving as the working apper for
discussions at the general
assembly of the Latin American
bishops at Medellin, Colombia
(Aug. 26-Sept. 7).

and School association and the Knights of Columbus of Rome, will

8 - The meeting for the promoters for the Apostles of Prayer, Sacred
Heart local center, will be held on Sunday, Sept. 8, 3:30 p.m. in

spiritual director, will conduct the opening prayer and give a talk.

9 - The first meeting of St. Jude’s Women’s Club (formerly the Altar
Society) will meet on Monday, Sept. 9, 8 p.m. in the cafetorium.
There will be a business meeting, discussion, and entertainment by
Theatre Atlanta. All ladies of the parish invited.
11 - The Holy Family Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor a bunco party
and luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 10:15 a.tn., at St.

14 - The 12th annual convention of the Archdiocesan Council of
Catholic Women of Atlanta, will be held on Saturday, Sept 14,
beginning at 9 a.m. at the Marriott Motor Hotel. Women of the
diocese arc invited to attend all or any part of the convention.
15 - A dramatization of the life of Christ entitled, “Behold the Man”;
and sponsored by the Christian Council of Churches, wiU be held
