Kaletta Award To Andrew Miller
Commissioner Andrew S. Miller,
Territorial Commander for The Salvation
Army in the Southern Territory, U.S.A.,
has been named the 1983 recipient of the
prestigious Father Paul Kaletta Award.
The award is the top honor of the
National Catholic Stewardship Council,
named for the founder of NCSC, and is
given annually to the person selected as
having served with unique distinction and
ability in the area of promoting Christan
stewardship.
Commissioner Miller, a fourth
generation Salvationist, is in command of
all religious and humanitarian work of the
Army in the fifteen southern states.
He shares his ministry with his wife,
Joan. The Millers have four children, two
of whom are Salvation Army officers.
They reside in Atlanta.

Blue Ridge Bargains
The St. Vincent de Paul conference of St. Anthony’s
Church in Blue Ridge, Ga. celebrated the opening of its
thrift store last month. With a little help from Sears,
Belk’s and Penny’s of Cleveland, Tenn., Isaack’s of
McCaysville, Ga., John Jabaley and Son of McCaysville,
Ga., Richard Jabaley of Copperhill, Tenn. and Betty
Jabaley’s of Blue Ridge, Ga., the operation has begun in
earnest. Doors are open each Thursday from 10 a.m. - 4
p.m. The conference wishes to express sincere thanks to
all who helped in its formation!
