St. John Neumann Schedules Renewal Father Stephen Cooley, O. Carm., will conduct a renewal at St. John Neumann parish in Lilburn, Sun., Nov. 29 through Tues., Dec. 1, beginning each evening at 7:30. Father Cooley is a family therapist, theologian and psychologist. For the past 17 years he has worked as a high school teacher, an associate pastor, an alcoholism and drug counselor, a marriage and family therapist and a public speaker. “It is my personal belief,” he says, “that theology and psychology are two enormously helpful disciplines in healing the human spirit.” Father Cooley has given lectures and workshops throughout the country both on college campuses and to business, professional, civic and religious groups. He is the author of audiocassette tapes and programs for personal, marital and family growth and enrichment. A nursery will be available during the renewal. PAGE 3 — The Georgia Bulletin, November 26, 1987 St. Thomas The Apostle Gospel Music Concert Planned An evening of contemporary spiritual music will be offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4300 King Springs Road in Smyrna on Wed., Dec. 2. Gospel singer Katrina Rae will perform at 7 p.m. Admission is free and the public is in vited. Faith offerings will be accepted. Katrina Rae grew up near Sacramento, Calif, where she was the youngest of four children in a family of musicians and singers. By the time she was 11, Ms. Rae was singing with the adult church choir and had won several talent competitions. At age 15 she was singing with bands and ac tively pursuing a career in music. Katrina Rae dedicates herself and her talents to God by ministering to the spiritual needs of Christians through music. She travels throughout the eastern half of the U.S. performing her contem porary, inspirational concert. Ms. Rae sings religious songs that bear witness to the love of Christians for the Lord. The songs hope to touch the hearts of audiences by emphasizing the importance of daily prayer as a source of strength, acknowledgement of one’s gifts to God’s glory, and love, support and acceptance in the home. Sacred Heart Will Host Guadalupe Feast Celebration Sacred Heart Church, 353 Peachtree Street, will be the setting for the annual celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Sun., Dec. 13, beginning at 1:30 p.m. with the Spanish Mass. The feastday Mass honors Our Lady as the Patroness of the Americas and the Queen of Mexico. The Mass will be con- celebrated with the Reverend Father Cornelio Moya, O.F.M., Ministry Pro vincial of the Franciscan Province of San Francisco and Santiago of Jalisco, Mexico. Father Moya will be the prin cipal celebrant and homilist. A proces sion and fiesta-reception will follow the Mass. Father Raimundo M.
