The Southern Israelite Page 9 SOCIETY NEWS Miss Lavinia Greenblatt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris J. Greenblatt, was one of about seventy students from Lasell seminary, Auburndale, Mass., who was a member of the an nual excursion from Lasell to the White Mountains, in New Hampshire. $ Mrs. A. J. Perlinski and Mrs. S. Abrahams were joint hostesses at a bridge luncheon at the Henry Grady Hotel, honoring Mrs. Julius Shack, of New York City, formerly Miss Ro salie Aronson. Luncheon was served in the Green Room. <$> Mr. and Mrs. Sigmund Montag are touring Florida. Mrs. A. Shulhafer, of Savannah, is accompanying them on the trip. $ Mrs. Joe Finklestein has returned from Chattanooga, Tenn. where she was the guest of her sister. <*> Mr. Dan Liss of New York City was a recent visitor to Atlanta. Miss Dinah Tarshes of New York City continues to be the feted guest of her sister, Mrs. I. Clein. <g> Mr. Irving Levy Marries Miss Mollie Clein Characterized by much beauty and elaborate detail was the marriage of Miss Mollie Clein and Mr. Irving Le vy which took place Sunday evening, February 24th at 7:30 o’clock at the Ahavith Achim Synagogue on Wash ington St. Rabbi Harry Epstein per formed the impressive ceremony. The synagogue was decorated with palms, smilax, ferns and gladioli and was a fitting bachground for the love ly affair. Preceding the ceremony, Miss Pau line Clein sang “0 Promise Me” and “I Love You Truly.” The bride, who entered on the arm of her father, Mr. B. Clein, was lovely in a bridal gown of white satin and real lace. She carried bridal roses and lilies of the valley. Miss Evelyn ( lein was her sister’s maid of honor. Mr. Max Cuba acted as best man. 1 he attendants gowned in blending shades of pastel crepe and chiffons included the Misses Jeannette Clein, Doris Clein, Estelle Moore of Carroll ton, Esther Clein, Pearl Clein and I’earl Levy. The groomsmen were the Messrs. Harry Clein, Harry Wengrow, < harles Bergman, Harry Cohen, Moses Goldberg, and Harry Lefkoff. Mr. and Mrs. P. Tenenbaum, Mr. and Mrs. A. Levy, Mrs. B. Clein, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Moore of Carrollton, and Mr. M. Clein, also attended the bride and groom. Little Annabel Bach and Joy Gottesman were flower girls while Master Bootsie Clein was ring-bearer. Immediately following the ceremony an elaborate wedding supper was serv ed at the Jewish Woman’s Club. Danc ing was enjoyed afterward. Mr. Levy and his bride left during the evening for a wedding trip to New York and other points East. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Haas have re turned from Cuba and Florida. <§> Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Marks, of harleston, motored home Sunday, af ter a visit of several weeks to Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Ferst. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hirsch and Mrs. B. Z. Phillips are in Florida. <$> Miss Daisy Jacobs is spending a couple of weeks in Birmingham, the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Jacobs and Mrs. A. T. Wise. <$> Mrs. B. Chanin of Greenville, S. C. is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Irv ing Edison. ——<§> Mr. and Mrs. Harry Davis have re turned from Florida. Mr. Sidney Herzenberg was in the city recently. The Misses Cecelia and Mary Tes ter have returned from a month’s stay in New York City. <$> Mr. and Mrs. Norman Elasa and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schwab have re turned from New Orleans and Gulf port, Miss. $> Mr. Clarence Miller was in the city recently. Mrs. A. Ferst and Mrs. Herbert Bergunder and young son, of Balti more, are spending several weeks at 1050 Ponce de Leon. Miss Helen Mendel, who attends school at the University of Ala bama, was the week-end guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Mendel. Miss Gertie Wilensky, who is studying at the University of Georgia, spent Saturday and Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Ida Wilensky.
