In ad dition to the regular Morning and Eve ning Services conducted daily, there are daily classes in Mishhnayos and Talmud for adults conducted by the Rabbi. There is also a weekly Bible class conducted every Friday evening under the leadership of the Rabbi. Ad ditional activities consist of a Hebrew School which has been opened under the personal direction of Mr. Samuel Geffen and of the organization of two boys clubs, one under the leadership of Mr. Leon Berman and the other one under the direction of Mr. Louis Geff en. The latest unit to be added to the list of activities is the newly organ ized Sunday Religious School. The school is making remarkable progress under the supervision of Samuel Gef fen, who is being ably assisted by a faculty composed of Mr. P. Ginsburg, Mrs. K. Kaplan, and Misses Rose Greenberg and Bessie Geffen. Dedication Exercises to he Held for New Synagogue On Sunday, January 12, at 2 P. M., dedication exercises will be held for the new Synagogue, recently erected by Cong. Shearith Israel on Washing ton Street. In addition to a speech by Rabbi Tobias Geffen, spiritual leader of the Congregation for the past twenty years, an elaborate pro gram is being prepared and the public is cordially invited to attend. Of special interest to his many friends in Atlanta is the news that j Canton A. Selsky, of Baltimore, will j participate in the program. Mr. j Selsky, who was formerly Cantor of the Ahavith Aehim Congregation of this city, has been residing in Balti more for the past four years, where he is regarded as one of the outstand ing Cantors in the country. The program will contain another interesting feature since another visi tor will participate in the program. Rabbi N. Rosen, who recently assumed spiritual leadership of the B. B. Jacobs Congregation of Savannah, will be ) with us on this occasion. Rabbi Rosen, a graduate of the Isaac Elchanan Yeshiva in New York, has been recog nized as a forceful and magnetic- speaker and there is no doubt that I Atlanta Jewry is looking forward to the opportunity of hearing this out standing young Rabbi. In addition to the above, invitations have been extended to Rabbi H. Ep stein, Dr. David Marx and Canton A.
