RINGS ON THEIR FINGERS
Abrams—Barnett
Miss Harriet Ann Abrams,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam
Abrams of Atlanta, became the
bride of Gary Stephen Barnett,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman
Barnett of Savannah, in an after
noon ceremony Sunday, May 8
at the Progressive Club.
Rabbi Harry Epstein of Ahav-
ath Achim Synagogue officiated.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her father. The bride’s
sister, Miss Rosalyn June
Abrams, served as maid of hon
or. Bridesmaids were Miss Janis
Barnett, sister of the bride
groom, and Miss Carol Abrams,
sister of the bride.
Gerald Friedman of Atlanta
was his cousin’s best man. Ush
ers were Robert Landau and
Ricky Barnett.
The ceremony was followed by
a reception, after which the
couple left on a wedding trip to
Williamsburg, Va., and Wash
ington.
They will reside in Lynchburg,
Va.

gogue. Rabbi Harry Epstein and
Rabbi Joseph Cohen officiated.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her brother, Ralph
Amiel, and Renee Norma Fran
co was maid of honor. Mrs.
Henry Arthur Cohen was ma
tron of honor and bridal atten
dants were Marcia Rimler and
Phyllis Rimler, sisters of the
bridegroom; Mariam Franco,
Rosalind Penso, Ina Strulitz of
LaGrange; and Mrs. Sam Bank
of Augusta. Rosie Saffan was
flower girl.
Harry Kuniansky was best
man. Groofnsmen were Charles
Burden. Lon Carnes, Erwin
Baroccas, Dr. Jack Rousso, Phil
lip Abrams, Mel Kaplan and
Alan Kaplansky, cousins of the
bridegroom, both of New York.
Ushers were Ralph Tourial,
Eli Tourial, and Dr. Benjamin
Saffan. Ringbearer was Sam
Tou rial.
A reception and seated dinner
was given in Srochi Hall of the
Synagogue. Assisting in serving
were Sarah Tourial and Peggy
Tourial, cousins of the bride.
After a wedding trip to Can
ada, the newlyw r eds will live in
Atlanta.
Plotkin—Altman
SAVANNAH— Mr. and Mrs.
Sam Plotkin announce the en
gagement of their daughter, Ju
dith Esther, and Ronald David
Altman, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Alvin R. Altman of Canton, O.
The bride-elect was graduated
from Herschel V. Jenkins High
School and is attending the med
ical College of Georgia. She plans
to receive a B.S. degree in med
ical technology in June. She was
a member of Sigma Delta Tau
sorority and Gamma Sigma Sig
ma service sorority and served
on B’nai B’rith Hillel.
The future bridegroom was
graduated from McKinley High
in Canton, O., and received an
associate degree in applied sci
ence from the Durham Tech
nical Institute with a major in
dental technology. He is associ
ated with the Superior Crown
and Bridge Laboratories in Au
gusta.
Wedding plans will be an
nounced.

Wilkinson—Fred
In a candlelight ceremony on
June 19 at Traverse City, Mich.,
Jane Aubrey Wilkinson became
the bride of Dr. Norman Russel
Fred, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
C. Fred of Atlanta. The bride’s
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jack L.
Wilkinson of Traverse City. The
marriage took place in the Red
and Gold Room of the Park Place
Motor Inn.
Mrs. Dean Ringsmuth of Tra
verse City was matron of honor
for her sister. Mrs. Lawrence A.
Kidd of Traverse City, and Miss
Bonnie Alpers of Ann Arbor,
Mich., were the bridesmaids.
Stephen Fred, brother of the
groom, of Atlanta, was best man,
and Thomas Wilkinson, brother
of the bride, and Lieutenant
Lawrence A. Kidd, both of
Traverse City, were the ushers.
A champagne reception follow
ed the ceremony in the Banquet
Room of the Inn.
After July 1, Dr. and Mrs. Fred
will be living in Cape May, N.J.

Mrs. Julius Eichholz of Sa
vannah announces the engage
ment of her daughter, Claire,
and Ronald Yogman, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Harry L. Yogman of
Spartanburg, S. C. The bride-
elect is the daughter of the late
Julius Eichholz.
Miss Eichholz was graduated
from Savannah High School
and attended St. Petersburg
Junior College. She is a student
at Armstrong State College
where she plans to receive a de
gree in elementary education.
The future bridegroom was
graduated from Jamaica High
School, N. Y., and was grad
uated with honors from Mich
igan State University where
he majored in journalism. He is
a newspaper reporter with the
St. Petersburg Evening Inde
pendent and is a member of
Sigma Delta Chi, professional
journalism society.
