Mrs. Max Cutler and daughter
Nancy of Beverly Hills, Calif.,
are in Atlanta for a visit with
Mrs. Isadore Heiman. Mrs. Cut
ler is the wife of Mrs. Heiman’s
brother, Dr. Max Cutler, world-
famous -cancer surgeon who per
sonally studied under Madame
Curie. He has written several
books and at present is in pri
vate practice in Beverly Hills.
Dr. Cutler is planning to come to
Atlanta in several months.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Marchman of
Charlotte were in Atlanta last
weekend with their daughter,
Susette. Susette has just moved
to Atlanta where she will teach
in the DeKalb County School
System. Mr. and Mrs. Marchman
and their other daughter, Harriet,
had recently been in Atlanta to
attend the wedding of Marilyn
Alhadeff and Jerome Jacobs.

The bride-elect was graduated
from high school and is employ

work on his master’s degree in
accounting at Georgia State Col
lege and is associated with

New ORT Unit
To Meet Aug. 25
Atlanta women who work will
have the opportunity to aid in
the vocational rehabilitation of
under-privileged Jewish people
throughout the world.
The newly formed Peachtree
Chapter of Women's American
ORT is an evening group organ
ized to meet this need. The first
planning conference of the
Peachtree Chapter will be held
at 7:15 p. m., Thursday, Aug. 25,
at the AJCC. Plans for each de
partment in relationship to the
program as a whole will be form
ulated for the coming year.

fairs Unit attending two weeks
of summer camp at Emory Uni
versity. The unique program of
the U. S. Army Reserve includes
an area study of Spain and Por
tugal conducted by Emory Uni
versity professors.
Mr. and Mrs. Don P. Engelberg
of New York announce the birth
of a son on July 17. Mrs. Engel
berg is the former Betty Jean
Rosenberg, daughter of Mrs. .Ruth
Rosenberg of Atlanta and the
late Samuel H. Rosenberg. Mr.
Engelberg is the son of Mrs. Isi
dore Engelberg of Memphis and
the late Mr. Engelberg.
Miss Marilyn Loeb of Atlanta
is spending a two-week vacation
in New York and will return to
Atlanta to teach school in Sep
