Jewish wedding in Egypt
CAIRO —A 65 year-old
Egyptian Jew asked a group of
American Rabbis visiting Cairo’s
only synagogue to perform a
traditional Jewish wedding
ceremony for him and his wife,
according to wire services.
Jacques Mosseri told Rabbi
Saul I. Teplitz of Woodmere, LI.
president of the Synagogue
Council of America, “1 had a civil
ceremony two and a half years ago
but I would like a religious one."
