Over 200 expected to compete
A special late registration for
youths wishing to participate in
this year's Junior Maccabiah
Games, set for Sunday, April 9,
at Westminster School, will be
held from 12:15 to 12:55 p.m.,
on Sunday, at the school.
More than 200 male and
female eighth through 12th
graders are expected to
compete in this year’s event,
scheduled to begin at I p.m. on

10th, 11th and 12th grades in
different classifications.

winners have been donated by
Mr. and Mr. Hy Chokes in
memory of their parents. Max
and Nellie Chinkes.
The games are open to all

Plans are underway for BBYO’s
1978 8th grade Conclave, to be
held April 14-16. The event will
include officer workshops,
contests, programs, entertain
ment, and Shabbat services.
Family Day on Sunday afternoon
will highlight the weekend, whose
theme will be “Hineni — Here I
Am!”
The theme ol this year's Atlanta
Council Convention to be held
May 5 to 7, at Camp Barney
Medintz will be “Chosen: Now
More Than Ever.” In keeping
with that theme and Israel's 30th
anniversary, programs will focus
on Israel and her impact on
American Jews. Convention
coordinators are Francee Gilbert
and Barry Rabinowitz. May 5-7 is
the date. Camp Barney Medintz is
the place.

Riverwood High School, was

of hopefuls in the South, East

the 20 ballplayers to compete in

School Jewish All Star
Basketball Game held April 6 in
New York, sponsored by the
Yeshiva University Athletic
Association.
