JNF presidents gather in Atlanta
Dr. Gilbert Wildstein, will play
host this weekend, when Jewish
National Fund presidents from
throughout the United States
gather in Atlanta, at the Hyatt
Regency.
The Jewish National Fund
which is celebrating its 77th year is
playing a leading role in the 30th
anniversary celebrations of the
State of Israel and has just recently
held a mass dedication ceremony
of the Children’s Forest in which
3,000 school children planted trees
with their own hands. This forest
was planted in memory of the
children who lost their lives in the
Holocaust.
The JNF directorate has now
revealed its plans for the next five
years for land development, road

Atlanta will devise, consider and
adopt new techniques to mobilize
the intensive and massive support
of the American Jewish
community in order to realize the
new objectives and challenges
confronting the Jewish National
Fund in creating a suitable land
base for the large population
growth expected by the State of
Israel within the next 10 years.
Dr. Gilbert Wildstein, the
Atlanta Region's president, and
his brother, Dr. Walter Wildstein,
the executive vice president, look
forward to an extremely
productive meeting, as they greet
Rabbi William Berkowitz, JNFs
national president, and Dr.
Samuel I. Cohen, executive
director, together with the regional
presidents.
In addition to their local
involvement, the Wildsteins
funded the State of Georgia Pylon
at the Kennedy Memorial in the
name'of their late father.
