Hashachar
1978 Hashacber Registration will be held Sunday evening,
September 17, 1978 at 7:00 PM at Play land Roller
skating Rink—4405 Buford Hwy. NE.
Hashachar is a National Zionist Youth movement co
sponsored in Atlanta by Hadassah and by the Atlanta
Jewish Community Center — children are divided into the
following age groups:
OFFARIM — 4th & 5th Grade Boys and Girls
TSOFIM — 6th & 7th Grade Boys and Girls
KESHER — 8th Graders
BOGRIM — 9th - 12th Graders
Meetings will generally be held on Sundays at central
locations. Hashachar offers exciting field trips and con
claves, aports, crafts & fun. Hashachar is lucky to have our
own Shaliach from Israel!!!

Brahn—Koplin
Mr. and Mr*. Myron Koplin, of
Macon, announce the marriage of
their daughter. Miss Rhonda Beth
Koplin, to Dr. George R. Brahn,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Brahn, of
Macon.
The ceremony was officiated by
Rabbi Edward Cohn at River
North Country Club, in Macon,
on July 30.
The bride’s cousins. Miss Robyn
Rousso and Miss Sarina Rousso,
both of Atlanta, were maid of
honor and bridesmaid.
The bridegroom's father was
best man. Ushers included the
bride’s brothers, Henry K. Koplin,
Evan L. Koplin, and Charles N.
Koplin.
Following the ceremony, the
bride’s parents gave a reception at
the club. After a wedding trip to
Las Vegas and New Orleans, the
couple is living in Macon.

Mr. and Mrs. Mendel Klug of
Atlanta announce the engagement
of her daughter, Beverly Nan Katz,
to Lawrence David Rosenman,
son of Mrs. Joan Rosenman of
Miami, Fla., and of Al Rosenman
of Baldwin, N. Y. Miss Katz is also
the daughter of the late Jonah Katz
of Syracuse, N.Y.
The bride-elect received a degree
in journalism and communications
from the University of Florida in
Gainesville. She is presently
employed as a legislative
correspondent in the office of U.S.
Senator Donald W. Riegle, Jr., in
Washington, D.C.
The future bridegroom
graduated from the University of
Florida, and is currently attending
the Georgetown University School
of Dentistry in Washington, D.C.
A December wedding is planned
in Atlanta.

Mrs. Donald L. Fivars of
Atlanta announces the engage
ment of her daughter, Lisa
Marilyn Fivars, to Keith Charles
Harper, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert A. Harper of Stone
Mountain.
Miss Fivars attends the
University of Georgia, and is
president of Delta Delta Delta
sorority.
Mr. Harper is a senior at
Auburn University, and is a
member of Lambda Chi Alpha
fraternity.
Rabhan—Yellin
Miss Ester Gittel Yellin and
Frid Ehrenfeld Rabhan were
married Sept. 3 in B’nai B’rith
Jacob Synagogue, Savannah.
Rabbi Sholom Strajcher
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Yellin. The groom
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin
M. Rabhan.
Given in marriage by her
parents, the bride had Miss
Nechama Gottlieb as maid of
honor. Bridesmaids were Miss
Marsha Greenblatt and Miss Sara
Findclstein, both of Memphis,
Tenn.; Miss Clara Lynn Berger of
Baltimore, Md., Miss Sherryl
Janowski of Toronto, Canada,
and Mrs. Robert Swedarsky of
San Antonio, Texas, and Miss Ida
Rabhan, both sisters of the
bridegroom. Pam Stein of
Philadelphia, was junior
bridesmaid.
The bridegroom’s brother. Dr.
Nathan Henry Rabhan of
Richmond, Va.. was best man.
Ushers were Robert Bashuk of
Dunwoody, Dr. Robert Swedar
sky of San Antonio, Lyndon
Goldsmith of Baton Rouge, La.,
Harvey Yellin, brother of the
bride, Frank Yellin, Sidney Levy
and Edward Rabhan.
Johathan Samuel Rabhan of
Richmond was ringbearer.

Players performance of Paddy
Chayefsky’s “The Tenth Man," on
Thursday, Sept. 21, at 8:30p.m., at
the Atlanta Jewish Community
Center.
The production features

moments and ends with a
cabalistic exorcism.
