dates and a “shower" for the Atlanta
Region’s newest chapter, Gwinnett

The Brandeis University National Women’s Committee pres
ented the Atlanta Chapter with the Presidential Citation, given for
fulfilling and exceeding the committee’s goals, at its recent 38th
annual conference.
At the ceremony are Atlantans Sue Winner, national board
member; Bernice Popkin, study group vice president; Dale Mill-
mann, president; and Lori Harrell, book sale vice president.

Rabbi Arnold Samian (right) accepts a plaque for the “Rabbi
Arnold Samian/Young People’s Grove” from students of the
Shearith Israel Religious School. The students participated in a
JNF Green Sunday phone-a-thon, with the Shearith Israel Sister
hood completing the grove of 1,000 trees. Rabbi Samian, assistant
rabbi and director of Youth Education, is moving to St. Louis.
