meeting Wednesday, Nov. 19, at
Steak ’N Ale Restaurant on Bu
ford Highway. The meeting will
begin with cocktails at 6:30 p.m.

Bowers will be the speaker, lead
ing a general discussion of var
ious important issues affecting
Georgia residents.

Chevra Chapter
The Chevra Chapter of B’nai
B'rith Women will hold its next
general meeting at 7:30 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 10, at the home of
Ruby Goldstein.
Karen Steinberg, membership
chairman, will teach members
and guests the art of couponing
to save money on groceries. Ev
eryone is asked to bring coupons
and refund forms that will not be
used.
There will also be an open
board meeting at 7:30 p.m. Mon
day, No., 3, at the home of
Rosette Lipson, to discuss the
budget and bylaws.

achievement have had their his
tories recorded since May 1985,
when the project was initiated!
About 30 interviews have been
completed. The histories will be
housed in the William E. Weiner
Oral History Collection in New
York City and in the AJC’s Oral
History Collection in Atlanta, to
be used as a resource for histori-

Lifshen of Congregation Beth
Shalom and Rabbi S. Robert
Ichay of Congregation Or VeSha-
lom at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9,
at AJCC/Zaban.
The rabbis will discuss ap
proaches to Sephardic and Ash
kenazi Judaism in relation to
prayer, customs and traditions.
A question-and-answer period
will follow.
Admission is 50c for members,

Jewish War Veterans

112 of the Jewish War Veterans
will hold services in memory of
Jewish veterans who have served
in the armed forces of the USA.
The services will take place at 11
a.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at the main
gate of the Ahavath Achim Syn
agogue Section A at Greenwood
Cemetery.
Rabbi Judah Kogen, spiritual
leader of Shearith Israel Syna
gogue, will lead the services.
Flags will be placed at all graves
of known Jewish veterans at
Greenwood and Crest Lawn cem
eteries.
The community is invited to
attend the memorial service.
Young Couples Club
The Jewish Young Couples
will hold a skating party at Spar
kles in Marietta at 8 p.m Satur
day, Nov. 8. There will be a pizza
party afterwards.
